One thing I have noticed over the years, when “I” open a door and go through it, “I” have to work very hard and seldom accomplish anything. And there seems to be a lot frustration and pain.
Yet when God opens the door, even if the work load is heavy, it seems light and actually brings pleasure. There is a sense of accomplishment.
Jesus said in Matthew 7:8 “For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.”Don’t try to make things happen, let God open the door.

Tuesday, June 22nd, 2010They’re All Big and Important People!
Monday, June 14th, 2010There are no big I’s and little u’s at LifePoint which makes for a great team. All our ministry teams and volunteers are wonderful but I want to tell the world how the amazing our worship team is.
Just this past week we had a projector bulb blow on Saturday afternoon; which could have been a major problem for Sunday worship.
However due to several people giving up their Saturday afternoon, switching 3 projectors, going to Home Depot to get connectors and bolts and rigging up who knows what to make it all work, putting hours changing the fonts to fit the newly rigged projector, we had a great service and no one knew anything was wrong.
Few people knows that our worship team puts in well over 100 man hours a week to give God our best…wait a minute God knows, and that is Who it is done for anyway.
Creative Worship team, thank you. In Gods eyes you are big, loved, appreciated, you are special!
Rise and Rise again, Until Lambs Become Lions!
Saturday, May 22nd, 2010Yesterday I saw Russell Crowe in the movie Robin Hood, and the words written on the sword, “Rise and Rise again, Until Lambs Become Lions”, although not in the Bible, certainly spoke to me as a man. When asked by Little John what the words meant, Robin Hood said, “It means that we never ever, give up”. (more…)

Saturday, May 22nd, 2010“Act Like Men” (1 Cor 16:13) Is Hard When Our Churches Come Across As Sissified!
Thursday, May 20th, 2010I know this may not set well with some, and you know I never say anything controversial, but have you noticed how churches seem to favor feminine themes. Really our church generation sometimes comes across as weak and womanly.
A lot of churches even want their pastor to be soft and dainty when it comes to preaching hard edge truths. (more…)

Monday, May 17th, 2010Looking back to last week and yesterday’s Worship at LifePoint
• We had a new LifeGroup start up in Lafollette – had 19 attend! Sounds like another start up soon.
• We had 5 Baptized in the worship– It is always great to see whole families make a commitment to the Lord at the same time
• We spot lighted the Motorcycle Ministry – So many new faces, way to go! And it was fun to see all the motorcycles out front.
